Borrowing Policies
- A patron must own a valid Bremen Public Library card in order to check materials out of the library.
- Patrons must have their card with them to check out materials.
- A patron is responsible for all transactions on his/her library card.
- Loan periods and fines vary depending on the type of material. See the list below.
- Overdue notices may be sent by telephone, e-mail or by U.S. postal service.
- Books: No limit, except in subject area
- Loan: 2 weeks, may be renewed 1 time unless on hold
- Holds: Allowed
- Fine: 10 cents per day per item, maximum $5 per item
- Magazines: limit 15 per patron
- Loan: 2 weeks, may be renewed 1 time unless on hold
- Holds: Allowed
- Fine: 10 cents per day per item, maximum $5 per item
- Cassette Tapes: limit 10 per patron
- Loan: 2 weeks, may be renewed 1 time unless on hold
- Holds: Allowed
- Fine: 10 cents per day per item, maximum $5 per item
- Compact Discs: limit 10 per patron
- Loan: 2 weeks, may be renewed 1 time unless on hold
- Holds: Allowed
- Fine: 10 cents per day per item, maximum $5 per item
- Videos and DVDs: limit 4 items in this group per patron
- Age: Patron must be 18 years or older to check out videos and/or DVDs
- Loan: 2 days, may not be renewed
- Items checked out on Friday and Saturday are due on Monday.
- Holds: Not allowed
- Fine: $2.00 per day per item, holidays and Sundays included, maximum $10 per item
- Art Prints: limit 4 per patron
- Loan: 8 weeks, may not be renewed
- Holds: Allowed
- Fine: 25 cents per day per item, maximum $5 per item
- Kits: limit 10 per patron
- Loan: 2 weeks, may be renewed 1 time unless on hold
- Holds: Allowed
- Fine: 10 cents per day per item, maximum $5 per item
