The Adult Services Department is responsible for the circulation, reference, periodicals, program planning, interlibrary loan and materials selection for the adult and young adult departments.
Items to check out for children are available in the Children's Services Department which serves children from birth through eighth grade
The library's adult print collection titles are separated by fiction, non-fiction, Large Print, and paperbacks. Within the fiction and paperback collections, books are also shelved by genre such as inspirational, mystery, science fiction and western.
The adult and juvenile collections also include a large art print collection of oils, reproductions and posters for adults and children.
The library's young adult collection includes recommended and popular titles in fiction and paperback.
Assistance is available to patrons both in person, by phone and online for research using available library resources, inter-library loan, Internet research, and on-line catalog use.
The Reference Department maintains a collection of books and electronic databases that may be used in the library. Among reference sources available at the library are almanacs, atlases, biographical dictionaries, business resources, consumer guides, electronic databases, general encyclopedias, literary resources, subject encyclopedias and dictionaries, and Bremen School Yearbooks.
Many electronic databases are available through the Internet. Please see our Databases page. Your Bremen Library card is required for access outside the library.

Newspapers and magazines are available at the library in both the adult and children's departments. Back issues of magazines may be borrowed and copies of many magazine articles are also available through the Internet in both departments.
The Bremen Enquirer is also available on microfilm at the library.
The audio-visual department has DVDs and CDs.
The DVD collections consist of entertainment, non-fiction titles, and TV series for all ages.
The CD collections consist of all varieties of music, non-fiction and fiction titles for your listening enjoyment. The books on CD consist of both abridged and unabridged titles of popular titles.
