The library has six computers for general public use in the Adult Department, one computer that is dedicated for use with the library's Epson scanner, and two computers for catalog searching only. All of the general use computers have the Windows 7 operating system, Internet access, the Library Card Catalog, Inspire, Microsoft Word, Excel and other programs on them.
Use of the computers is on a first come first served basis. Users are required to sign in with their library card at the computer. Guest passes are available for those who do not have a library card. Ask at the Circulation Desk if you need a guest pass. Sessions are limited to 30 minutes. If no one is on the wait list for the computer you are using, you may sign in for an additional session when your current session ends. There is a 2 hour maximum use time per person per day.
Black and White printing is available for 10 cents per page. Color printing is 25 cents per page.
The Epson scanner can scan documents up to 8.5" X 11". Slides and 35 mm negatives can also be scanned. If you wish to scan slides and/or negatives and are not familiar with the equipment, you should schedule an appointment for a staff member to assist you.
There are additional computers for public use in the Children's Room.
