Except where indicated otherwise, all films are of The Bremen Enquirer. The April 17, 1884 issue of The Bremen Banner is labeled "Vol.III, #39", which indicates that Vol I of the Banner may have been printed in 1882 . We have no issues earlier than April 17, 1884. An article in The October 30, 1886 issue of The Bremen Enquirer referenced The Bremen Gazette of May 19, 1875. We do not have any issues of the Gazette. Also see our list of missing papers.
The Bremen Enquirer has always been a weekly publication.
A column title "25 Years Ago" was started in the May 30, 1912 paper. During 1916, the column was retitled "24 Years Ago". In 1917, it ran as "23 Years Ago". The last few months of 1917, there was no column featuring excerpts from older papers. In 1918, the column was started again as "20 Years Ago".
