Registration for the summer children's programs at Bremen Public Library begins Monday, May 23.

Summer Read-to-Me Club is for preschool-age children who have not yet been to kindergarten. This group meets every Wednesday, June 1 through July 20, from 10:30-11 a.m.

Children's Summer Reading Club is for children entering grades 1-4 and meets every Thursday, June 2 through July 21 from 1-2 p.m.

Children who read either seven chapter books or 20 picture books will earn a ticket to the Reward Party on July 28.

When you register, you will be assigned to a team. The team that reads the most books will be honored at the Reward Party.

Make-It, Take-It Crafts will be available during library hours on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from May 23 through August 12.

Watch for Zippy Zebra the traveling mascot at local businesses this summer! If you see Zippy around town and report his location to the Children's Desk, you will get a candy treat.

Young Adults

Young Adult Summer Reading Club is for students entering grades 5-12. Registration begins Monday, May 23.

Participants earn one entry to win a Huff & Puff Kick Tail Longboard for every three books read.

Readers' Theatre Camp is open to students entering grades 5-8. Rehearsals are from 1-3 p.m. on Monday, June 13 and Tuesday, June 14. The actors will then perform for the Read-to-Me Club on Wednesday, June 15 from 10:30 to 11 a.m. and for the Children's Summer Reading Club on Thursday, June 16 from 1-2 p.m. Register at the library beginning May 23.


Table Toppers: TUESDAY, JUNE 7 (2:00-4:00) Try out some of our new board games.

Photography Walk: TUESDAY, JUNE 28 (2:00-3:00) Explore and photograph the library neighborhood and learn photography tips and tricks.

Chess & Checkers: TUESDAY, JULY 5 (2:00-3:00) Bring your enthusiasm and your critical thinking skills.

Quidditch: TUESDAY, JULY 12 (1:45-3:15) Wizards unite! Try out this sport that combines rugby, dodgeball and tag.

Tech Studio: TUESDAY, JULY 19 (2:00-3:00) Learn how to create a video slideshow with your personal selection of music and photos.

Custom Creations: TUESDAY, JULY 26 (1:45-3:15) Walk with us to Mrs. T's Bakery for a cooking program. Registration required.

Registration for the Adult Summer Reading Program begins Tuesday, May 31.

For every five books read, participants earn an entry to win a prize basket or this year's grand prize: a Fitbit!

Final entries are due Saturday, Sept. 3 and prize winners will be notified Tuesday, Sept. 6.
