Bremen Public Library has four book clubs. Each group meets monthly to learn, enjoy and share their opinions and ideas about books. One member leads the discussion with questions and ideas to get other members to participate with their points of view. Everyone is welcome! Please stop by the Adult Desk if you are interested in joining a group, or e-mail a specific club leader directly.
The Readers Book Club meets the third Wednesday of each month from 2:15 to 3:15 p.m. in the Library’s Lower Level Meeting Room. This club was started in November 1999 and grew so quickly a second group had to be formed. Terrie Bickel, email@example.com, is the current leader of the Readers.
The Questers Book Club was formed in June 2000 due to the popularity of the Readers group and the need for an additional group. The Questers meet on the second Wednesday of each month from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the Library’s Lower Level Meeting Room. Shelli Kauffman, firstname.lastname@example.org, is the current leader of the Questers.
The Night Owls Book Club first met in October 2010. It was started by community members who wanted an evening meeting time. The Night Owls meet on the second Monday of each month from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the cozy Upper Level Meeting Room. Kate Blakely, email@example.com, is the current leader of the group. Their slogan is “What a Hoot!”
Once Upon a Crime
The Once Upon a Crime Book Club was formed in June 2020 to meet a growing interest in the genres of suspense, mystery and thriller. This group meets on the first Tuesday of the month from 6:30 to 7:30 in the Library’s Lower Level Meeting Room. Courtney Dobrzykowski, firstname.lastname@example.org, is the current leader of the Once Upon a Crime Book Club.
